"definatly Red Alert-ish"

date: July 18, 2008

i really like the guy who made Red Alerts songs, i think it was Frank Klepacki, anyways, definatly reminds me of his song Death March 2, wicked work, cannot wait for the game to be finished

good think Frank is doing the songs for RA3, also cannot wait for that game :)

"make it alive-er"

date: July 3, 2008

dunno, just spit ballin' in the dark, but mabye this version could be liven up, the background melody i hear could also be made a little louder (not the bass, the swooshing) gets more feel to it, like i said, a suggest not entirly something to be taken in

July 7, 2008

Author's Response:

I might try that. I'm afraid of making any of it too prominent, as this is supposed to be background music and not jam-out-in-the-car music. But the "swooshing" sound could probably use a little lift.

"throwing in suggestions, as always"

date: July 3, 2008

this loop is probably the best if the three, sounds wicked and creates the immersion feeling, keep up the great work, also, if it does not cause a burden, to probably make another loop, three does not make a good cut, i dunno, just be me being critically critic

Author's Response:

You're right, I am missing one last track that I probably won't upload. It's going to be more of a music-free ambient loop just to mix it up.

"hmmm"

date: July 3, 2008

they all sound a bit samsy, but if you want to keep that kind of style, then i suggest taking one of the songs and liven it up a bit, like something from the game Red Alert 2, the songs in that game was all action and alive, this loop is the perfect relaxing, constructing, researching song, probably the second song could be the liven up song, something to immerse the player into the game, this is suggestion of course, not something to really, follow but you never know, it could work :)

July 3, 2008

Author's Response:

Incidentally, I was gonna add an ambient "marching" track to the game, just like Red Alert <3 I've owned the soundtrack to that game for years, it's inspirational.

And you called it - this track is the "break" from the higher energy songs. I have a minor chord one, a creepy one, and this is the "nice" one I suppose. It's all major chords and in a different key than the other two. All I need now is an ambient song with more sound effects than music.
